Husbandry Affliction is an older collection from My Pretty Zombie. It's a set of three eyeshadows in varying purple shades. All three of these eyeshadows contain carmine so are sadly all non-vegan.
The inspiration!
When you look at them individually, it's hard to tell the differences between the shades. "Hoof and Mouth" and "Anthrax" in particular are very similar but when compared side-by-side, the three together make a great subtle spectrum from red to purple. In that, this set is similar to its blue themed cousin, MPZ's Blue Period Collection.

The inspiration!
This is definitely a theme far removed from the classic nerdy references that indies tend to favor. MPZ has never been one to stick to the crowd though!When I was in high school, I took a class called " Animal Science" to avoid taking Biology.I learned all kinds of fascinating and useful information about sexing rabbits, grading cuts of beef, and up to date de-horning techniques. It was my favorite class. The text book was beyond awesome! Swiss Brown is still the prettiest breed of cow out there, in my opinion.I was obsessed with the animal diseases chapter and would force everyone I knew to look at all the great pictures.The picture of a cow with Anthrax was especially memorable. Not graphic or gory, but just a cow on its back with all its legs stiff and pointing upward. Sad , comical , and pretty all at the same time.So those long ago photos and memories were my inspiration for this collection.

Personal Comments: In darker light, the purple in this eyeshadow comes out more but in direct sun, it shows up at a barely purple-tinted red with a gold highlight. Applied over Urban Decay Primer Potion and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. This picture was taken outside in natural light.
