Warning: This post will be picture heavy!

A few weeks ago, Seattle-based fellow blogger, AG, and I stopped in at the home base of Sweet Anthem Perfumes. It's a tiny little shop on a somewhat busy road. We drove past it on the first shot.

We eventually parked and luckily the rain had slowed to a light drizzle while we ran across the sidewalk and looked foolish taking pictures of signs.

On walking in, I actually stopped and blinked for a second because there's perfume everywhere.

The bottles on the upper right are kind of the coolest.
I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting but if you're ever in the area and a fan of indie scents, this is definitely a place to stop in at. To the right are all of Sweet Anthem's personal offerings and to the left are stands of other indie perfumeries.

AG adds: I love and respect Meredith's inclusion of so many other brands in her shop! One of my favorite things about the indie world is how often you see collaboration and cross-promotion between brands. I was delighted for the opportunity to sniff a bunch of Madame Scodioli scents, and I'll definitely be back to try some Sweet Anthem scents on while also discovering new indie and niche brands.

Unfortunately, we arrived a little later in the day so we weren't able to stay long but we had a great conversation with owner and perfumer, Meredith, about the current state of the indie perfume market., the awards that Sweet Anthem is up for, and what an "indie" perfume really is.
