I know it's a little weird to be looking back at Christmas collections when we're just about ready to head into spring but I didn't want to let the season pass without showing off this gorgeous duochrome-y collection by Notoriously Morbid.
As I mentioned in our Notoriously Morbid Company Overview from a few weeks back, most of their shadows are "what you see is what you get" and there's certainly nothing wrong with that but I LOVE how the creator has put out something different in this A Dark Christmas Dream collection.
These aren't slap you in the face duochromes. They're not the Fyrinnae-variety "ooooo that's so cooooool" type. They're more of a subtle sheen that catches the corner of your eye in a way that makes you blink. And they're absolutely beautiful.

From the website: Perfect victorian pink shade with a violet duochrome.

Personal Comments: Violet is one of those weird colors that shows up obnoxiously pink in direct light but you can barely see the pale purple glow to this shadow. Applied over Urban Decay Primer Potion and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. This picture was taken outside in natural light.

Personal Comments: I'll never be able to pull off this eyeshadow but it's one of my Notorious Morbid favorites. It's a deep red/purple shade that pulls out a silvery blue shimmer. Applied over Urban Decay Primer Potion and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. This picture was taken outside in natural light.

Personal Comments: This one was a bit of a weird one for me because the duochrome was exactly opposite of the description. What I saw was a blue/grey shadow with a golden/brown overlay. Weird right? Applied over Urban Decay Primer Potion and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. This picture was taken outside in natural light.

Personal Comments: A hopeful orange-gold! This is one of the non-duochromes in the collection and it's very bright! I didn't see the green shimmer that the description calls out but there's definitely something there. Applied over Urban Decay Primer Potion and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy.
