Summer's almost over but Chinovi's Summer 2013 collection is still available (as of 8/10/2013). This is a collection that appeared only on Chinovi's Etsy Store and is available in sample baggie, sample jar and full sized form.
Obligatory image heavy post warning!
The collection has an assortment of shimmery and glittery shades in bright summer-y colors and is inspired by memories of a fun filled vacation. Put together, these shades are definitely reminiscent of a day at the beach. Everything is very straight-forward and great for those days when complicated shadows are too much to work with.
Quality-wise, these follow the quality standards that I've come to expect from any of my Chinovi eyeshadows. They're smooth to apply and not overly glittery. The jars have a beach ball for a logo instead of the standard Chinovi top.
If you see something that you like, better pick it up soon because I'm pretty sure that this collection isn't going to be around for much longer.
On to the individual shades!

From the website: This color is a bright orange with a red shift and red sparkles.
Eye Shadow Ingredients: magnesium stearate, carnauba wax, mica, titanium dioxide, aluminum oxide, tin oxide, iron oxide, calcium aluminum borosilicate, silica
Personal Comments: The glitter isn't overly noticeable in this eyeshadow and I appreciate the subtlety. It's a very bright bronze shade. Applied over Urban Decay Primer Potion and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. This picture was taken outside in natural light.
Eye Shadow Ingredients: magnesium stearate, carnauba wax, mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide, ferric ferrocyanide, carmine
Personal Comments: To me this eyeshadow definitely seems more of a light purple but there is a faint pink tone to it. I didn't really see the copper shift but there are tiny bronze-y particles if you look closely. Applied over Urban Decay Primer Potion and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. This picture was taken outside in natural light.
From the website: Bikini is an orangy yellow with a slight blue cast and pink sparkles.
Eye Shadow Ingredients: magnesium stearate, carnauba wax, mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide, yellow #5, palmitic acid, hydogenated polyisobutene, calcium aluminum borosilicate, carmine
Personal Comments: A bright canary yellow. There are hints of orange but definitely not much. Applied over Urban Decay Primer Potion and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. This picture was taken outside in natural light.
From the website: Fruitsicle is a corally bubblegum pink with a slight green cast.
Eye Shadow Ingredients: magnesium stearate, carnauba wax, mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, aluminum oxide, carmine
Personal Comments: A pale pink shade that almost looks like it could have a matte base but there's plenty of shimmer to distract from it. Applied over Urban Decay Primer Potion and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. This picture was taken outside in natural light.
From the website: Jet Ski is a metallic blue with red and copper shifts.
Eye Shadow Ingredients: magnesium stearate, carnauba wax, mica, titanium dioxide, tin oxide, ferric ferrocyanide, iron oxide, carmine, blue #1, hydrogenated polyisobutene, palmitic acid, silica
Personal Comments: A really nice light blue shade. The color doesn't really change but depending on your light source, you can see bits of glitter throughout. Applied over Urban Decay Primer Potion and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. This picture was taken outside in natural light.
From the website: Pool Party is a mix of green, blue and yellow. It's hard to describe as it is ever changing.
Eye Shadow Ingredients: magnesium stearate, carnauba wax, mica, titanium dioxide, ferric ferrocyanide, tin oxide, chronium oxide green
Personal Comments: The most sheer and the most glittery eyeshadow in the collection. This is a very green green-blue shade. Applied over Urban Decay Primer Potion and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. This picture was taken outside in natural light.
