Hey everyone! I'm excited to show you the latest collection from Shiro Cosmetics. It's called the Flash Ignite collection and it's inspired by League of Legends. I purchased this on the release date so I've had some time to play with it and organize my thoughts. I only bought samples, but the label art looks super cute and was made by Kika Lexova. As always you can purchase the shadows one by one (I've linked each shade's individual listing under its review) or together as a set for a 10% discount.

I've got fifteen shadows and a handful of eye looks to show you so I'm putting this picture-heavy post under a jump. Let's take a look!

Shiro Cosmetics Flash Ignite Eyeshadow Come Play With Me

From the website: The saddest little lonely mummy boy. Will you be his friend? That’s a trick question. You can’t.

Cool muted ashy green with a strong antique gold shift. Not lip-safe.

Ingredients: mica, carnauba wax, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide, chromium oxide.

Personal Comments: I have a lot of thoughts on this one but am overall pretty happy with it! It had good pigmentation, especially for a lighter color, and stood up nicely against bright colors over primer (as you'll see in the eye look below). I haven't had a chance to try this in an eye look over a sticky base yet, but I do want to note that the bold antique gold duochrome effect was somewhat fussy when I swatched it. If you look at the swatch photo above, you can see the duo didn't come out nearly as much in the center of the swatch, probably due to the shadow being a little thicker there. If you plan on using this one over a glitter glue, I'd say go slowly and apply in thin layers to get a consistent effect.

Parallel swatches are taken in partial sun and, from left to right: over bare skin, over Urban Decay Primer Potion, over UDPP and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. Angled swatch is the Pixie Epoxy swatch in full sun.

Shiro Cosmetics Flash Ignite Eyeshadow Demaciaaah!

From the website: You’re gonna love this color, I Garen-tee it.

Deep, rich navy blue with strong metallic gold shift. Not lip-safe.

Ingredients: mica, carnauba wax, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide, ultramarines, ferric ferrocyanide, bronze powder, silica.

Personal Comments: I have a weakness for dark blue with gold shimmer, so this deep navy with gold duochrome makes me really happy. If you want to love Shiro Colonel but find it has too much fallout for your taste, definitely pick up a sample of this one. I didn't see much of the gold over bare skin or primer but over a sticky base, it came out in a really nice burnished sheen. In practice I found the duochrome was a touch patchy over Pixie Epoxy and didn't stand out quite as much against the dark base as might suit my personal preference, but overall it's a lovely color.

Parallel swatches are taken in partial sun and, from left to right: over bare skin, over Urban Decay Primer Potion, over UDPP and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. Angled swatch is the Pixie Epoxy swatch in full sun.

Shiro Cosmetics Flash Ignite Eyeshadow Eeny, Meeny, Miney, Burn

From the website: Have you seen my bear Tibbers? You’re about to.

Bright fuchsia loaded with fiery red sparks. Lip-safe!

Ingredients: mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide, copper powder, calcium aluminum borosilicate, silicon dioxide, magnesium myristrate.

Personal Comments: This is a very fun color! I used it in my crease and it performed really well - it blended out without going patchy or fading and had good pigmentation. I didn't notice any major fallout from the red sparks when I applied it with a fluffy brush. Pigmentation is decent over bare skin and quite good over a base. The red sparks come out sparingly over primer and appear in full force over glitter glue.

Parallel swatches are taken in partial sun and, from left to right: over bare skin, over Urban Decay Primer Potion, over UDPP and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. Angled swatch is the Pixie Epoxy swatch in full sun.

Shiro Cosmetics Flash Ignite Eyeshadow Gems are Outrageous

From the website: Truly, truly outrageous.

Layers and layers of blue – this is a blue base with several different kinds of blue shimmer, a metallic blue shift, and blue glitter to boot. The overall effect is a very sparkly deep turquoise blue with lots of depth. Not lip-safe.

Ingredients: mica, carnauba wax, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide, ferric ferrocyanide, calcium aluminum borosilicate, silicon dioxide.

Personal Comments: This is a beautiful deep turquoise, and I think this one will serve you best over a sticky base. It was pretty blah (and a little patchy) over bare skin, looked kind of like soft black with a turquoise sheen over primer, and then morphed into a reflective turquoise over glitter glue in a way that really does look reminiscent of a gemstone. When testing this out I jumped straight for using it as a liner over glitter glue and found it applied very consistently. The only downside I noticed is it transferred a bit to my crease area right after application; this could be due to a Pixie Epoxy issue (it is notoriously fussy) but I felt it was worth mentioning.

Parallel swatches are taken in partial sun and, from left to right: over bare skin, over Urban Decay Primer Potion, over UDPP and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. Angled swatch is the Pixie Epoxy swatch in full sun.

Shiro Cosmetics Flash Ignite Eyeshadow Gift of Toadstool

From the website: #Gromp2k15 #LeaguealizeGromp #OnceYouGrompYoullNeverGoWolves #Smite4Lyfe #GrompStomp

Deep swampy brown with a green shift and purple-mushroom sparks. Very Grompy. Not lip-safe, he’s poisonous, silly.

Ingredients: mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide, ferric ferrocyanide, chromium oxide, calcium aluminum borosilicate, silicon dioxide, magnesium myristrate.

Personal Comments: This is a really solid color! It's got great pigmentation, even over bare skin. I could see a smattering of green and pinky-purple sparkles over bare skin, the beginnings of a green sheen over primer, and a really nice (but still soft) green sheen over glitter glue. Folks who enjoy neutrals with a twist should really enjoy this one.

Parallel swatches are taken in partial sun and, from left to right: over bare skin, over Urban Decay Primer Potion, over UDPP and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. Angled swatch is the Pixie Epoxy swatch in full sun.

Shiro Cosmetics Flash Ignite Eyeshadow Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha

From the website: Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. You forgot to ward this bush. Ha.

Metallic true yellow-gold. Lip-safe!

Ingredients: mica, carnauba wax, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide, bronze powder, silica.

Personal Comments: This is one of my favorites from the collection! It's not quite fully opaque over bare skin, but over primer or glitter glue it's a rich mustard shade that works beautifully with a number of other shadows in the collection. Over glitter glue it takes on an almost molten characteristic without becoming metallic. I loved using it over a sticky base in my inner corner, but it would also work beautifully as a lid shade, especially blended out with one of the brick reds in this collection.

Parallel swatches are taken in partial sun and, from left to right: over bare skin, over Urban Decay Primer Potion, over UDPP and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. Angled swatch is the Pixie Epoxy swatch in full sun.

Shiro Cosmetics Flash Ignite Eyeshadow Hut Two Three Four

From the website: Entire lane is mushrooms. Entire jungle is mushrooms. Entire map is mushrooms. Welcome to Mushroom Rift.

Bright chartreuse loaded up with purple sparks (difficult to see in photos, more apparent in person). Not lip-safe.

Ingredients: mica, carnauba wax, titanium dioxide, tin oxide, yellow #5, ferric ferrocyanide, calcium aluminum borosilicate, silicon dioxide.

Personal Comments: This is another really fun color. It's pretty sheer over bare skin but perks up nicely over primer. Glitter glue brings out a satin finish and does indeed show off some light purple sparkles, but they're not especially prominent. No complaints about performance here, though I will note that on the eye you'll need a sticky base for the most impact.

Parallel swatches are taken in partial sun and, from left to right: over bare skin, over Urban Decay Primer Potion, over UDPP and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. Angled swatch is the Pixie Epoxy swatch in full sun.

Shiro Cosmetics Flash Ignite Eyeshadow It's Mine I licked it

From the website: Now, there’s a smell you can feel! :D :D :D

Deep shimmery murky-water-green with a trove of bright blue sparkles. Not lip-safe.

Ingredients: mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide, yellow #5, ferric ferrocyanide, calcium aluminum borosilicate, chromium oxide, silicon dioxide.

Personal Comments: This shade looks and performs a lot like the dark green version of Gems are Outrageous, so most of my notes are very similar. It's underwhelming over bare skin, looks like a soft black leaning dark green over primer, and shines best over glitter glue, when a metallic finish and turquoise sheen emerge. I used it as an outer corner shade in an eye look below over primer; you'll see it looks like a smudgy charcoal with no real hint of green. There's nothing wrong with it performance-wise, just be prepared to foil it if you want the green to really shine.

Parallel swatches are taken in partial sun and, from left to right: over bare skin, over Urban Decay Primer Potion, over UDPP and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. Angled swatch is the Pixie Epoxy swatch in full sun.

Shiro Cosmetics Flash Ignite Eyeshadow Let's Use All the Colors

From the website: This one tastes like purple!

Bright cool purple with strong golden shift. Not lip-safe.

Ingredients: mica, carnauba wax, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide, ferric ferrocyanide, bronze powder, magnesium myristrate, silica.

Personal Comments: This is a beautiful royal purple with gold sparkles, in a very similar vein to Demaciaaah! I have to admit I didn't see the sparkles coalesce into a full-on shift, but it is a very pretty effect all the same. I saw moderate pigmentation over bare skin but it looked beautifully rich and opaque over primer and nearly identical over glitter glue. There were a ton of gold sparkles in all three swatches, though they were most densely packed over Pixie Epoxy as you'd expect. I had to put in a little extra work to get the gold overlay consistent across my lid when I applied it over Pixie Epoxy, but otherwise I didn't notice any performance problems.

Parallel swatches are taken in partial sun and, from left to right: over bare skin, over Urban Decay Primer Potion, over UDPP and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. Angled swatch is the Pixie Epoxy swatch in full sun.

Shiro Cosmetics Flash Ignite Eyeshadow My Mind is Telling Me No

From the website: But my body… My body’s telling me yes

A gorgeous almost-matte, almost-neutral rose-tinted tan with the most subtle metallic red shift. Lip-safe!

Ingredients: mica, iron oxide, tin oxide, copper powder, zinc oxide, silica, magnesium myristrate.

Personal Comments: This is a lovely matte cocoa shade. It's just shy of opaque over bare skin but looks perfect over silicone primer. It gets a touch deeper in color over glitter glue. I didn't see the subtle red shift mentioned in the site description, but I didn't care because it's a beautiful color and performs really well. This should be a great staple neutral color for a range of skin tones. I keep reaching for it as a transition color because it blends out perfectly and builds nicely.

Parallel swatches are taken in partial sun and, from left to right: over bare skin, over Urban Decay Primer Potion, over UDPP and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. Angled swatch is the Pixie Epoxy swatch in full sun.

Shiro Cosmetics Flash Ignite Eyeshadow NomNomNom

From the website: could everyone please just stop feeding

Deep cool burgundy with strong blue shift. Lip-safe!

Ingredients: mica, carnauba wax, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide.

Personal Comments: This one is a solid performer, if very close to Violence Solves Everything - I'll show a comparison below. It's a little shy of opaque over bare skin but deepens and becomes fully opaque over primer or glitter glue. The blue sheen made an appearance, but it was subtler than I expected based on the description and was most apparent where my arm curved. No complaints about performance - it blended well and I didn't see any noteworthy fallout.

Parallel swatches are taken in partial sun and, from left to right: over bare skin, over Urban Decay Primer Potion, over UDPP and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. Angled swatch is the Pixie Epoxy swatch in full sun.

Shiro Cosmetics Flash Ignite Eyeshadow Surprise

From the website: Happy Birthday! I got you this terrifying murder of crows!

Semi-sheer ghostly grey with pale green shimmers. Not lip-safe.

Ingredients: mica, carnauba wax, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide, chromium oxide, ferric ferrocyanide, silica.

Personal Comments: True to the site description, this one is fairly sheer until you get it over glitter glue, so will probably serve best foiled or as a glittery over-shadow on a more opaque color. The official description indicates it has a grey base, and I could kind of see that over bare skin, but the whole thing read as pastel mint to me over primer or glitter glue. If you pick up a sample of this, make sure to try it foiled in your inner corner - it is awesomely glowy when it catches the light.

Shiro Cosmetics Flash Ignite Eyeshadow Violence Solves Everything

From the website: No hesitation. No mercy. Lots and lots of knives.

Bright, bold, somewhat shifty red – pinker in some lights and oranger in others. Lip-safe!

Ingredients: mica, carnauba wax, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide.

Personal Comments: This is an amazing rusty red color, but oh wow does it have fallout. In the intense red look I did below I packed this shade all over my eye first and had red fallout streaming down my cheeks. The fallout was easily remedied with makeup remover, and the stuff that made it onto my eye stayed put nicely, but this is definitely one to apply before doing your foundation. It's got a bit of a pinky-red sheen over glitter glue but otherwise comes across as a matte shade. As you can see in the swatch photo it starts as an orangey-red over bare skin, becomes a richer brick red over primer, and almost takes on some purple tones over glitter glue. It's also quite close to NomNomNomNom, as you'll see below.

Parallel swatches are taken in partial sun and, from left to right: over bare skin, over Urban Decay Primer Potion, over UDPP and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. Angled swatch is the Pixie Epoxy swatch in full sun.

Shiro Cosmetics Flash Ignite Eyeshadow Who Needs Reasons

From the website: Three guns means never having to say you’re sorry.

Maybe our most duochrome-y duochrome yet: pale grey-blue with such a pink shift. Not boring! Not lip-safe.

Ingredients: mica, carnauba wax, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide, ferric ferrocyanide, magnesium myristrate.

Personal Comments: I hate to say it, but this one is a little lackluster for me. It swatched pretty well, but in practice I find it's lower in pigmentation than I'd like, even over silicone primer. I used it in my crease in a couple of the looks below and was never quite satisfied with how it looked. In the shadow's defense, I think part of this may have been that I just didn't find it flattering against my warm-toned skin. On the positive side, the pink duochrome peeks out over silicone primer and comes out very strong over glitter glue, true to the official description. I'd say it's easily on par with Aurora Borealis's shift when applied this way. That said, I would only recommend this one to folks who intend to put it over a sticky base.

Parallel swatches are taken in partial sun and, from left to right: over bare skin, over Urban Decay Primer Potion, over UDPP and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. Angled swatch is the Pixie Epoxy swatch in full sun.

Shiro Cosmetics Flash Ignite Eyeshadow Wings of Night

From the website: She’s so Vayne, she prob’ly thinks this color is for her.

Deepest black-blue with strong red shift. Not lip-safe.

Ingredients: mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide, ferric ferrocyanide, ultramarines, magnesium myristrate.

Personal Comments: I was nervous about this one, because I generally find loose black shadows to be fallout-heavy, even by indie standards. Fortunately, this one behaved nicely! It's even and opaque (even over bare skin), blends out nicely without losing pigmentation, and has lovely red sparkles that come out over both primer and glitter glue. Blackbird's loose shadow in Lucid is my favorite black shadow, but this one is giving it some competition for that title!

Parallel swatches are taken in partial sun and, from left to right: over bare skin, over Urban Decay Primer Potion, over UDPP and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. Angled swatch is the Pixie Epoxy swatch in full sun.

Here's a look at Violence Solves Everything and NomNomNomNom side by side:

Shiro Cosmetics Flash Ignite Eyeshadow NomNomNOmNOm

From elbow to wrist (bottom to top) these are over bare skin, over primer, and over primer + sticky base. NomNomNomNom has more purple tones, especially over a sticky base, but honestly these two are very close. Violence Solves Everything has the pinky red sheen in its favor, but I'm not convinced you absolutely need both of these shades.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And here are the eye looks I put together while testing this collection. I shared most of these on Instagram so they have a different watermark, but this is all my work, promise! I started with Urban decay Primer Potion and a base shadow in my skin tone for all of these looks.

For this look I used Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. in the inner corner, My Mind Is Telling Me No in the center, and Demaciaaah! in the outer corner over Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy.

For this look I started with Who Needs Reasons? in the crease but wasn't satisfied with its intensity or color, so I went over it with Eeny, Meeny, Miney, Burn! Then I applied Hut, Two, Three, Four! in the inner corner and across my mobile lid over Pixie Epoxy (and somehow managed not to notice it was patchy until after photos, to my embarrassment). Finally I added Come Play With Me to the outer corner of my lid and dragged a thin line halfway through my crease, which actually looked pretty neat!

For this look I used My Mind Is Telling Me No as a transition shade, Let's Use ALL the Colors! on the lid over Pixie Epoxy, It's Mine, I Licked It to darken the outer corner and outer crease, and Surprise! over Pixie Epoxy in the inner corner.

For this look, I followed the fabulous Biohazardous Beauty's Gothic Vampire Black and Red makeup tutorial (here's a direct YouTube link). I started with DreamWorld Hermetica Blade (a matte light gray) as a transition shade, then applied Violence Solves Everything over my entire eye and lower lashline. I used NomNomNomNom, Gift of Toadstool, and Wings of Night to progressively deepen the outer corner and outer lower lashline. These all blended so nicely!

This last look just has two shades. I put down some tape at an angle coming from my lower lashline, then started with Who Needs Reasons? through the crease. I applied Gems are Outrageous over Pixie Epoxy to do the liner and tiny wing, then applied Who Needs Reasons? to my inner corner over Pixie Epoxy.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So that's the collection! Tons of brights, tons of moody deep colors, and plenty of glitters and duochromes to keep you entertained. Has anything caught your eye?
