Furless Cosmetics Punk Pink Flat Top Buffer Brush Review

Furless Cosmetics is an Australian brush company that specialises in synthetic makeup brushes and vegan cosmetics. I purchased the Punk Pink Flat Top Buffer Brush for $3.98AUD, it's currently on sale for $2AUD as it is being discontinued so I recommend picking it up sooner rather than later if you're interested :)

The Punk Pink Flat Top Buffer Brush can be used with powders, creams, and liquid products. It has long bristles which are very soft and are not very stiff or dense. It feels very nice on the skin due to its softness and applies products sheerer than the brushes in the comparison shots. I like to use it with liquid or powder foundation because the head is a bit large for blush/highlight/contour. If I want a heavier and more precise application, I hold the brush at the metal ferrule, closer to the bristles.

Since it's winter in Australia, I've been wearing liquid foundations mixed with a moisturiser and I like to use the Punk Pink Flat Top Buffer Brush because it applies and blends sheer layers easily. I also like that it doesn't eat up product like a flat paddle foundation brush can. It's a breeze to clean since it is not very dense, and the synthetic bristles dry within hours. I have washed this brush (along with all of my other Furless brushes) at least twice and have experienced no shedding.

The website doesn't specify what the pink handle is constructed out of, but it feels like light wood. The Punk Pink collection does not list the name of the brush on the handle, but does have "FURLESS" printed in black on the handles.

Even though the other Punk Pink brushes are no longer available, I still photographed them to show the types of brushes that are offered by Furless. I have a small precise crease/pencil brush (I'm not sure what the name is because it was a freebie from my first Furless order), the Punk Pink Flat Top Buffer Brush, the Punk Pink Blush Brush, and the Punk Pink Powder Brush. The Punk Pink collection appears to have been replaced by the Perfectly Pink collection, and I would assume the Perfectly Pink brushes are of the same if not better quality. My review of the other Punk Pink brushes is the same; the face brushes are very soft and feel amazing on the skin, and they are all easy to clean and dry quickly.

Furless Cosmetics are a cruelty free and vegan brand. They are an Australian brand but they do ship internationally, starting at $12.50AUD. If you follow them on Facebook, Twitter, or Google+ you can find out about sales (like I did - I purchased these three Punk Pink face brushes for under $11AUD!)
