11/25/2013: My Pretty Zombie opened their own website! Updated links.

I am completely obsessed with these blushes by My Pretty Zombie. The naming convention is ridiculously awesome, I mean named after drugs? sweet, and it's super cool to have the molecular diagram of the drug as a decorative piece on top of the jar.

I picked up this set of 6 full sized blushes for $38.40 and got 33% off during MPZ's anniversary sale. I think I would have paid the full $38.40 though. $6.40 per blush isn't a bad deal when you get a huge 15g jar of awesome. The set includes all but 2 of MPZ's blush line. The ones that are missing are the brand new matte pink blush (Propoxyphene) and this intriguing yellow blush (Fluoxetine).

The blushes are priced at $8/each if you purchase them individually.
As you can see, there's plenty of variety in this blush line. MPZ doesn't hesitate to stray away from the stereotypical bright pink blush. They're very pigmented and a couple need a very very light hand. These blushes all have varying degrees of shimmer but mostly blends out to be a barely-there glow.
Take a look at individual shades!

From the website:  THC Blush is lavender with a sticky green shift

Ingredients: mica, zinc oxide, kaolin clay, magnesium myristrate, carmine, titanium dioxide, silicon dioxide, blue #1 lake, hydrogenated polyisobutene, palmitic acid,

Personal Comments: THC is one of the two pinky blushes. In certain lights it can lean more towards a pinky purple but in the sun it's a very bright pink. Blended out, the glitter fades away and it becomes an awesome flush color. This picture was taken outside in natural light with no primer.

From the website:  6-MAM Blush is a dope plum with violet shimmer

Ingredients: mica, zinc oxide, kaolin clay, magnesium myristrate, titanium dioxide, silicon dioxide, tin oxide, iron oxide, carbon black

Vegan!

Personal Comments: 6-MAM is my favorite of the 6. It's a pinky-mauve shade and even when heavily applied the shimmer is a lot more subtle than some of the others. When blended out, it's more orange than purple but it still looks natural on the face. This picture was taken outside in natural light with no primer.

From the website:  Benzodiazepine is a red, red, red blush!

Eye Shadow Ingredients: mica, carmine, iron oxide, titanuim dioxide, tin oxide, copper powder, silicon dioxide, kaolin clay, zinc oxide, magnesium myristrate

Personal Comments: I have no idea how to say its name but this blush is seriously intense. It's a bright, bold red with gold shimmer and one should apply very very very lightly because it really sticks once on. This picture was taken outside in natural light with no primer.

From the website:  LSD Blush is a muted gray plum with a groovy red to gold shift

Ingredients: mica, zinc oxide, kaolin clay, magnesium myristrate, titanium dioxide, silicon dioxide, tin oxide, copper powder

Vegan!

Personal Comments: I think this is the most unique shade in the set. Even darker purple blushes from mainstream lines blend out to more of a sold pink than purple. LSD sticks to its purple roots though and you can see the dusty hints even when blended out, though it does become a little more pinky. This picture was taken outside in natural light with no primer.

From the website:  MDMA Blush is a rosy pink with a gold afterglow.

Ingredients: mica, zinc oxide, kaolin clay, magnesium myristrate, carmine, titanium dioxide, silicon dioxide

Personal Comments: Ah the cult favorite. MDMA is the blush that MPZ is known for and looking at it, I can definitely see why. When blended out, it reminds me of NARS Orgasm, another cult favorite. MDMA is bright pink when applied heavily but when blended out takes on more of a coral appearance. This picture was taken outside in natural light with no primer.

From the website:  PCP Blush is a running naked from the cops peach with gold glitter

Ingredients: mica, zinc oxide, kaolin clay, magnesium myristrate, iron oxide, titanium dioxide, carmine

Personal Comments: PCP is my second favorite! Second favorite blush I mean. It's more orange than MDMA but when blended out, there's still a really pretty coral shade. It's also not as bold as the others so if applied a little less carefully, it wouldn't be too bad. This picture was taken outside in natural light with no primer.
